Why marriage?
For us, marriage is a vow, a binding commitment that will guide us through the inevitable challenges life brings. It provides a title that truly reflects the depth of our connection and the future we envision together. A wedding, then, is a celebration of our love and commitment, shared with our closest community. It is an opportunity to ask for their support as we begin this journey together, with the hope of living a long, happy life. Along the way, the wedding planning process is allowing us to reflect on what marriage means to us and what we want it to symbolize in our lives. For those reasons, our wedding will be intimate, solemn, and joyful, marking the beginning of this meaningful new chapter.
Pourquoi se marier?
Pour nous, le mariage est un vœu, un engagement solennel qui nous guidera à travers les défis inévitables de la vie. Il nous confère un titre qui reflète véritablement la profondeur de notre connexion et l’avenir que nous imaginons ensemble. Une cérémonie de mariage, donc, est une célébration de notre amour et de notre engagement, partagée avec notre communauté la plus proche. C’est aussi une occasion de leur demander leur soutien alors que nous entamons ce voyage ensemble, avec l’espoir de vivre une vie longue et heureuse. La préparation du mariage nous a aussi donné l’opportunité de réfléchir à ce que le mariage signifie pour nous et à ce que nous souhaitons qu’il représente dans nos vies. Pour ces raisons, notre mariage sera intime, solennel et joyeux, marquant le début de ce nouveau chapitre.

Need-to-Know
Here are the main details for our special day:
Schedule: The wedding ceremony, cocktail and dinner will happen on the 13th of September, 2025, from 4:30pm to 2am. We will also have a brunch on the 14th of September, 2025, from 11am to 2pm, to end our weekend together.
Location and accommodations: All events will take place within the grounds of the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, and all guests will have a complementary room at the Hôtel de Fontevraud l'Ermitage for the night of the 13th of September. The address is 38 Rue Saint-Jean de L’Habit, 49590 Fontevraud-l’Abbaye. See more details here.
Attire: Your attire should fit within the theme of the wedding: “timeless and whimsical”. In other words, something elegant with a touch of fantasy! See more details here. But first and foremost, wear something that you feel comfortable in. Also keep in mind that at this time of the year, the temperature can range from 50°F to 77°F, so layers may be a good idea.
Registry: We won’t have a registry and donations aren’t expected. If you’d still like to help pay towards the cost of our wedding or our honeymoon, you can make a donation here.
Other: No children, sorry!

Programme : La cérémonie de mariage, le cocktail et le dîner auront lieu le 13 septembre 2025, à partir de 16h30 jusqu’à 2h du matin. Un brunch sera également organisé le 14 septembre 2025, de 11h à 14h, pour clore le week-end ensemble.
Lieu et hébergement : Tous les événements se dérouleront sur le domaine de l'Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud, et tous les invités bénéficieront d’une chambre à l'Hôtel de Fontevraud l'Ermitage pour la nuit du 13 septembre. Tenue : N'hésitez pas à porter une tenue en accord avec le thème du mariage : « intemporel et fantaisiste ». Nous l'interprétons comme quelque chose d'élégant, mais avec une touche de fantaisie ! Plus de détails ici. Mais avant tout, choisissez une tenue dans laquelle vous vous sentirez à l’aise. Gardez également en tête que la température à cette époque de l'année peut varier entre 10°C et 25°C.
Liste de mariage : Nous n’aurons pas de liste de mariage et les dons ne sont pas attendus. Si vous souhaitez néanmoins contribuer au financement de notre mariage ou de notre lune de miel, vous pouvez faire un don ici.
